Protecting functional novelties: the patent.

Protection of the functional and/or utilitarian aspects of a product, a method or process is obtained thanks to a patent. A patent is delivered only for inventions which are new and inventive.

An invention will be considered as new if at the date of filing it has not been disclosed. It is therefore imperative not to communicate your invention to third parties even more so not to market it.

An invention will be considered as inventive if it is not obvious for the skilled man when he considers prior art and knowledge.
